St. Michael's House hosted a Pilot Family Fun Day for School Age Children and their Families in June in North Dublin. We aim to host similar events across the organisation.
The Ballymun Family Fun Day hosted to approximately 75 children and their families. The Saturday event was supported by a cross-section of staff from various disciplines and administration departments.
The Children enjoyed such events like :
- Glow dancing
- Frisbee
- Family Bingo
- Flower Pot planting
- Face painting and
- Sport activates
In addition to these activities, kiddie Yoga and messy play were available as options for those who opted out of some activities. Children had a chance to experience new activities with other children and Parents had an opportunity to relax and network together.
Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for making this day possible. Everyone attended received a sponsored Goody Bag by Leisureplex entertainment Centres. Barrys Balloons supported the colourful Balloons to give a super Summer feel and Jones Garden Centre supported the provision of planting pots and tools.
The welcomed sponsorship by Amazon of an ice cream van for all was appreciated in the sunshine to close out the successful event.
Our aim is to complete more Family Days North and South of the city to accommodate different family groups across the sector.
