Unit Fundraising

St. Michael’s House Units can run their own fundraising events with support from the Fundraising Office to support their own unit projects or programmes. We value community local support.

Can you support a local Unit event to you?

You can view local events that are taking place in your area that you can support directly by attending, donating, volunteering or marketing the idea.

Family and Friends Support

There are many families and friends who raise funds directly for their perferred Unit due to a known family member or friend who resides in this Unit. We welcome all support and are very grateful to the wonderful family and friends teams in the community.

Here are some examples in 2018

Cara Fun Run

This is the second year of the successful Cara 5km Fun Run in St. Annes Park in. This is managed by a family and friends committee of the late Gregory Flynn who passed away in our Cara Dementia services.

The Flynn family lead by Miriam Behan confirmed sponsors, donors and supporters for this community event. Our families and staff across the organisation were delighted for the opportunity to attend and remember their loved ones too. Almost €8,000 was raised in 2018 to support the Cara Dementia Unit.
