Social Care Worker Evening Recruitment Campaign – 24 September

Join St Michael’s House as a Social Care Worker

St Michael’s House is recruiting Social Care Workers for services across the greater Dublin area.

We are holding an Evening Recruitment Event on Thursday 24 September 2026, giving prospective applicants an opportunity to meet with our HR team, find out more about working with St Michael’s House and discuss the range of roles and contracts available.

Whether you are an experienced Social Care Worker or are starting your career in the sector, we would like to hear from you.

Recruitment Event

Date:     Thursday 24 September 2026
Time:    4pm–8pm
Venue:  St Michael’s House, Ballymun Road, Dublin 9, D09 DX37

Register here and Walk-ins are also welcome, so you can attend on the evening to speak with the HR team and find out more.

Depending on demand, on-site interviews may be available during the evening. If an interview cannot take place on the night, you may be invited to interview at a later date.

Free parking is available.

Flexible contracts

We have a range of full-time and part-time contracts available. Our HR team will be available during the evening to discuss the options and help you find a role that suits your circumstances.

The webinar will provide an opportunity to find out more about the Social Care Worker roles and ask any questions you may have ahead of the recruitment event.

About the role

Social Care Workers support people with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives, with a focus on choice, participation and inclusion in their communities.

The role includes working as part of a team to support people to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.

Salary Scale

Salary Scale – Social Care WorkersSuccessful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated Social Care Worker pay scale point 1; € 40, 851– point 12; € 57,217 LSI pro rata per annum which is based on working a 39-hour week.

Applicants with no prior public sector experience will be placed on Point 1 of the scale.

You will have the opportunity to work as part of a skilled and responsive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred supports and promoting a good quality of life for the people we support.


Essential Criteria for Social Care Workers

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disability

  • Experience working as part of a team

  • Experience implementing positive behaviour support plans

  • Experience in a key working role promoting independence and community integration

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
