Well done to the residents of Avondale and Ferndale in Glasnevin on the creation of a beautiful outdoor Christmas crib in their garden.
All the residents worked very hard creating this crib and love sitting beside it when the lights come on. In the spirit of Christmas Catherine, one of the residents, wrote this beautiful Christmas poem.

Our Christmas Crib 2020
Long ago, one winter night,
the sky in Bethlehem shone bright.
A donkey trudged along the track
With Mary riding on her back.
Joseph knocked on every door,
There was no room- no bed no floor.
Then one kind man showed the way
to his stable full of hay.
Baby Jesus born that night,
Looked up and saw a star so bright.
Mary saw the star and smiled,
and hugged her special Christmas child.
