SMH Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2023 (15 May – 21 May 2023)

St Michael’s House are celebrating National Volunteering Week this week.

This year’s National Volunteering Week theme is ‘Connecting Communities’ and what better way to celebrate this theme than to welcome our Corporate Volunteer Champions from KPMG, CSC Global and NTMA.

Led by SMH Project Co-Ordinator, Rhoda Judge, our wonderful volunteers offered their time and skills to transform the Glens residential outdoor areas into welcoming and accessible spaces for all the residents.  After a long winter, volunteers cleared gardens, painted fences, planted flowers and cleared pathways creating welcoming and accessible areas for residents to welcome their friends and families over the summer months.

This National Volunteering Week, St Michael’s House are celebrating the power of volunteering to enrich communities, create opportunities for meaningful connections and gain valuable insight of disability awareness.

Thank you to KPMG, CSC Global and NTMA for working with us to achieve our goals this National Volunteer Week.
