The recent Person in Charge (PIC) Forum for Adult Services provided an important opportunity to recognise the achievements of our frontline teams throughout 2025, reflect on successes and plan for the year ahead.
St. Michael’s House PIC Forums gather staff responsible for leading day and residential services across the organisation together. The Forums provides a space to share best practices, discuss challenges, celebrate successes and plan future initiatives. It ensures that frontline leadership is actively involved in shaping training, policies and service delivery, supporting a rights-based, service-user-focused approach.
Inspiring Start
The event opened with an inspiring address from Conor Kenny (Director of Adult Services), setting the tone for a day of reflection, collaboration and forward planning. PICs came together to discuss the success of the Forum, share ideas for improvements in 2026 and identify key discussion points and training priorities for the year ahead.
Celebrating Achievements with a Fun Twist
The Forum also included a lighter moment with Bingo Loco, adding a touch of fun to the day. Congratulations to our Social Care Leader in Shanowen/Shanvarna for winning the first prize. Special thanks to Shannon Fagan and Andrew Fraser for supporting this activity.
A Team Effort
Thank you to Jennie Wall, Catherine Cleary, Ethel Maguire, Orla Helly, Shannon Fagan, Caroline Flynn and all SCLs and Service Managers who contributed to organising the PIC Forums throughout 2025. Their dedication ensures that St. Michael’s House continues to provide a rights-based service, prioritise meaningful service user involvement, and value and invest in our staff.
Looking Ahead
The PIC Forum highlighted the positive impact of our frontline services, celebrated achievements and set the stage for continued collaboration, learning and development in 2026.
