It was a proud day at St. Michael’s House Goatstown Services last Friday as we welcomed Tadgh and Derry Fleming, the Re-turn team, and representatives from Airfield Estate to celebrate a remarkable achievement in sustainability and community impact.
A cheque for €2,000 was presented to our very own Alan and Ann, dedicated members of the SMH Green Team, in recognition of their inspiring efforts. Alan and Ann have been leading a local green initiative by collecting bottles and cans from both Airfield Estate and the Goatstown campus, with all proceeds being donated to the Food Bank in Dublin 10, which supports local homeless charities.
This contribution is part of the Small Town, Big Difference campaign, a nationwide Re-turn initiative that highlights community groups and organisations making a positive environmental and social impact through Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme.
The event was a celebration of teamwork, environmental responsibility, and community spirit. Well done to Alan, Ann, and the entire Goatstown Services team for hosting a fantastic afternoon and demonstrating the real-world impact of sustainability initiatives.
Congratulations and best of luck to all the campaign finalists!
