At St Michael’s House, we are proud to foster a culture of volunteerism, where people from all walks of life contribute their time, skills, and energy to support the individuals we serve. Volunteers play a vital role in helping people achieve their goals, build connections, and participate fully in their communities.

This International Volunteer Year 2026, we invite you to step forward and make a difference.

Three Ways to Volunteer

1. Volunteer & Befriending Programme

Join a person or group in our services and help bring everyday moments to life. Activities can include coffee chats, music sessions, gardening, crafts or local community outings.

2. Connect Programme for TY Students

Secondary school students can take part in a fully supervised Transition Year volunteer placement, working closely with our Volunteer Co-ordinator to gain experience while making a meaningful contribution.

3. Corporate Volunteer Champion Programme

Companies can get involved through their CSR initiatives, supporting impactful projects that help employees learn about the contributions people with disabilities make to their communities. St Michael’s House has welcomed over 10,000 corporate volunteers to date.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering with St Michael’s House is more than giving time , it is about building relationships, learning new skills, and making a lasting impact. Every volunteer, student and corporate participant brings something unique to our community, and together, we help create inclusive, empowering experiences for the people we support.
