To mark 70 years of service, St. Michael’s House recently hosted two summer barbeques, one at our Ballymun HeadQuarters and the other at our Templeogue Day Services, bringing together individuals from both the north and south sides of Dublin to celebrate this very important milestone.
The first celebration took place on Saturday, 13th July at Ballymun HQ, on what turned out to be the warmest day of the year so far. The event was well attended by service users, families, and staff, who enjoyed a delicious BBQ provided by The Pink Pepper, along with live entertainment and plenty of dancing throughout the day.
A special mention goes to our Artane residents, who fully embraced the 1970s theme, adding colour, creativity, and fun to the festivities.
Our second BBQ took place on Friday, 18th July at Templeogue Day Services. While the weather may not have matched Ballymun’s sunshine, the celebrations were equally fantastic, with dancing, great food, laughter, and many reunions with old friends.
We extend our sincere thanks to the event organising committee, whose efforts made both events such a success. Special thanks as well to Orla Helly from Northbrook for her exceptional balloon art, which brought a unique and festive atmosphere to the day.
