The St Michael's House WorkAbility Programme is proud to highlight the recent success of John, who completed a six-week supported employment placement at Insomnia Coffee Company on Ballymun Road.
Throughout the placement, John actively developed his abilities in customer service, stocking, cleaning, and preparing a range of beverages—including the standout drink of Summer 2025 Matcha.
John’s dedication, enthusiasm, and natural attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. He quickly became a valued member of the team, with his manager, Oliwia, describing him as:
“A fast learner who brought positivity to the team—like a hot chocolate on a bad day, warming the workplace with his smile and dedication.”
John’s cheerful personality and strong work ethic earned him top marks from colleagues, with particular praise for his professionalism, consistency, and friendly rapport with customers.
This placement also highlights the power of inclusive employment. The Insomnia Ballymun team, especially Oliwia, created a genuinely supportive environment, providing mentoring, kindness, and even a farewell celebration complete with cakes and balloons during a busy summer season.
To the Insomnia team: thank you for making this a supportive and confidence-building experience. And to John: congratulations on your outstanding performance and continued growth.
If your business is looking for a reliable, motivated, and friendly employee, John is ready for new opportunities.
