St. Michael’s House was delighted to attend the 2025 Disability Show at The Curragh, officially opened by Minister Hildegarde Naughton. The event marked the official launch of the revised HSE Health Passport App, an important digital tool designed to improve healthcare communication and outcomes for people with disabilities.
The App was launched by the HSE National Disability Quality Improvement Office, who also presented on the importance of person-centred healthcare planning and service user engagement. Special recognition goes to Sandra Ferncombe, Healthcare Lead, and Marie Kehoe O’Sullivan, National Disability Specialist, for their leadership in developing this revised version of the App.
As part of the SMH CREATE Project, service users, families, and staff from SMH took part in focus groups to trial the revised App and provide essential feedback during its development. We are especially proud that participants from Goatstown and Templeogue services are featured on the new HSE Health Passport banner, unveiled at the Disability Show.
Our sincere thanks to the HSE National Disability Quality Improvement Office for involving SMH in this meaningful project and for their ongoing focus on inclusive design and co-production with Service Users.
