Assisted Decision Making Webinar (1)

Dear Family Member,

You are invited to an online meeting to hear about the Assisted Decision Making Act (2015).

The Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act (2015) is about supporting decision-making and maximising a person’s capacity to make decisions. This Act applies to everyone and is relevant to all health and social care services.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear from Ms. Áine Flynn, Director of the Decision Support Service. She will present information on the Assisted Decision Making Act – which is due to commence in early 2023 – and on the role of the Decision Support Service.

The meeting will be on Monday 30th January 2023 from 11am – 1:00pm.

It will be held on Zoom and you can join the session by logging on to the St Michael’s House Activity Hub via www.smh.ie

There will also be a link on the website when you open this site

Please feel free to send in any questions you have in advance. You can email them to communications@smh.ie

We understand not everyone may be able to join by Zoom. We will put together a summary of the information from Ms. Flynn. It will be available on our website www.smh.ie.   If you would like a copy posted out to you, please email communications@smh.ie

Yours sincerely,

Caroline Howorth | Director of Adult Clinical Services
