It was an emotional day for St.Michael's House staff as they welcomed the HSE Covid-19 Vaccination team to HQ on Wednesday 27th January. The HSE CH09 DNCC teams administered 47 Adult service users over 65 years who use St. Michael's House services with the Covid-19 Vaccination.

The St. Michael's House Residential teams arrived on scheduled times, to Ballymun HQ, with the brave Adults over 65 years. The Unit teams are following the Covid-19 HSE and NPEHT guidelines since March 2020 for the protection of service users and staff. Restrictions on family visits, cocooning measures and adhering to strict health and safety guidelines in 2020 made this day an emotional relief for many.

' I am crying with relief, it is truly a great day ' said one staff member as she witnessed an Adult from her Unit getting the Covid-19 Vaccine. St. Michael's House teams will continue to adhere to HSE and NPHET Covid-19 guidelines for the protection of service users and staff   but it was a great start to the Covid-19 Vaccination process .
