I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Children & Young Persons (CYP) & Supports Services Team, to wish you all a very happy Christmas. I would also like to thank our families, guardians and carers for their continued support in 2021 as we navigated the Progressing Disability Service transition.
St. Michael’s House had been preparing for the move to Progressing Disability Services for some time and it was great to finally see the new teams being established by the end of September 2021. This is a new model of service which focuses on supporting your child to achieve goals identified in your child's Individual Family Service Plan. I would like to welcome all new children and their families to St. Michael’s House Children’s Disability Network Team. We are currently reviewing the children's section of the website and will have this updated early in 2022. This will provide you with up to date information about our teams and progress. We look forward to seeing these teams really take shape in 2022.
As the year comes to an end, I would like to acknowledge and thank all staff across our Children and Young Persons & Support Services Teams for their dedication, commitment and professionalism as we continue to work in a changing landscape.
2021 has been a challenging year for all, in particular children and families accessing disability services. We would like to acknowledge the impact that this has had on all families. I hope that with the new teams now established we can move forward together.
St. Michael’s House look forward to working with you all in 2022.
Best regards,
Tracey McKenna
