The St Michael's House Older Friends Social Group recently came together for its much-anticipated annual Summer Luau, enjoying a wonderful afternoon of music, dancing, friendship and fun.

The event brought older adults from across our services together to reconnect with familiar faces, make new friends and celebrate the summer in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The room was filled with laughter, conversation and plenty of dancing, making it another memorable occasion for everyone who attended.

A special thank you to the team at Le Chéile Community & Resource Centre, Donnycarney, for their warm hospitality and for helping to make the day such a success. We also extend our sincere thanks to the St Michael's House staff who supported people to travel to and from the event and ensured everyone could fully enjoy the day.

The Older Friends Social Group provides opportunities throughout the year for older adults supported by St Michael's House to connect with others, build friendships and participate in activities that reflect their interests. Through a co-production approach, committee members work alongside staff to plan and organise a programme of events that is shaped by the ideas and choices of the people who take part.

The annual Summer Luau is always a highlight of the calendar, and this year's event was no exception. It was a wonderful celebration of community, inclusion and friendship.

Thank you to our dedicated committee, whose enthusiasm and commitment continue to make each event better than the last.
