What a great success ! Another New to You Fashion show stopper in the RDS 2019.
Over the last eight years, the ‘New to You’ designer fashion sale has raised more than €230k in fundraising, encouraging communities to work together with people with intellectual disabilities to ensure they are fully involved and supported by their local community.
In previous years, the money raised supported the development of respite and specialised care projects that benefited eighteen service users from St. Michael’s House Baldoyle Day Service with profound intellectual disabilities.
The ‘New to You’ fashion sale was started in 2012 by a team of ladies from Sandymount lead by Niamh Hanratty, inspired by their friends, the Nolan Family whose daughter Ivana is a St. Michael’s House service user. Ivana’s sister Danielle secured a match donation for the funds raised by the fashion sale which were generously donated by Google.
This is the eighth year of this hugely successful show and money totals are still to be confirmed . Totals will be advertised here.
