Dundrum Town Centre 2019

We are delighted to announce a new charity partnership with Dundrum Town Centre. The partnership will directly benefit the St. Michael’s House unit,  Goatstown Services.

The partnership highlights Dundrum Town Centre’s long standing tradition of charitable support and in particular their commitment to supporting individuals with complex needs. To increase the accessibility of the centre and as part of their Autism Friendly Initiative, Dundrum Town Centre have introduced a Quiet Room, which situated on Level 2M. The room is equipped with calm lighting, cushions, blankets, toys and bean bags and offers people a place to go during their visit, if they find the main mall overwhelming or if they need to take some time to relax.

Dundrum Town Centre 2019Commenting on the announcement, Debra Smith, Environment & Community Coordinator from Dundrum Town Centre said: “At Dundrum Town Centre, we feel it is extremely important to support our local communities and charities. This is why we have chosen St. Michael’s House Goatstown as our charity partner for 2019. We admire the work that they do and are glad that we can support this amazing organisation. We are delighted that so many of the SMH service users visit Dundrum Town Centre which is testament to the accessibility of the centre. We are looking forward to this partnership and hope that we can make a really positive impact on the services that SMH provide.”

Dundrum Town Centre 2019To mark the launch of the partnership, local unit linked carers were treated to a ‘Tea Party Surprise’ by Dundrum Town Centre to celebrate National Carer’s Week 2019.
