Cara's National Inclusion Awards 2018
Shortlist one: Our Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre is shortlisted in the Fitness & Leisure category
Leisure Centre Manager, Sarah Hewitt and her team will aim to fight off stiff competition in this category for this award. Other competitors are ACLAI- Personal training Cork and Paul Smyth Inclusive Health & Fitness Donegal.
Shortlist two: St. Michael's House Baldoyle Special National School in the Special Education category.
School Principal Ann Higgins and her team will aim to fight off stiff competition in this category for this award. Other competitors are CBS Roscommon – Edmund Rice Centre and Holy Family School.
The Awarding body, CARA , is a national organisation providing a collaborative platform to enhance sport and physical activity opportunities for people with disabilities.
The CARA awards are aimed at highlighting the outstanding work of people and organisations all over Ireland, who are enhancing participation opportunities for people with disabilities in sport and physical activity.
The awards ceremony will be hosted by CARA on Wednesday 28th November in Dublin. St. Michael's House representatives will attend from the shortlisted units.
St. Michael's House have celebrated a win at the CARA National Inclusion Awards 2017 in the Disability Sector via the Swimming pool and Leisure Centre.
