Following the success of the 2008 St. Michael's House "Who's Got Talent" show, over 200 service users auditioned for this year's final, which was held in the National Concert Hall on July 9th. It was a night that saw dreams come true, with all twelve finalists rising to the occasion and treating over 600 friends, families and other guests to a magnificent show. With the caliber of talent being extremely high, it was difficult for judges Honor Heffernan, Rory Cowen and Patricia Doherty to pick a winner. In the end, it was 25-year-old Natalie McGee from Ballymun who, having enchanted the audience with a beautiful and passionate rendition of Mariah Carey's "Hero", claimed the winning trophy.

Congratulations to Natalie and the runners up: Sandra Healy, Vivian Wood, Dominic O'Neill, Ronald Deegan, Edward Doran, Elaine Lattin, Lydia Magee, Roy Pickett, Joan Ryan, John Cooper and Steven Martin. Also, a special thank you to the judges, the choir, the bands, last year's winner Noel Brady, Lámh Translator Ann Marie Reid and hosts Maxi and Ger Lyons for making the night so special.
