Bring a Book, Buy a Book 20151st to 8th March 2015The popular St. Michael's House event "Bring a Book, Buy a Book" is back for 2015.  The campaign asks staff to bring second-hand books from their homes and buy donated books from their colleagues at a cost of €2 per book.  This can be set up in a staff common area over a morning/day/evening and work on a trust basis or be manned by a staff member.  If you would like to support the campaign by hosting a book swap in your school, club or place of employment please register your interest by clicking here. Participation is simple:  Encourage your friends and colleagues to donate their books.  Return the funds raised to St. Michael's House.To register just email fundraising@smh.ie or call us on (01) 8840345.The campaign aims to encourage reading for all.  Each location receives a starter pack consisting of:  promotional posters, bookmarks, stickers, donation box and carrier bags. St. Michael's House are delighted to report that over 100,000 books were successfully swapped by book lovers during the Bring a Book, Buy a Book 2014 campaign.  Funds raised through the 2015 campaign will sepcifically support the refurbishment of one of our adult day centres for people with intellectual disabilities and the rebuild of a respite unit for more independent people with intellectual disabilities.  Both of these projects will significantly enhance the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities by providing safe and pleasant surroundings in their local communities. Our Pop-Up shops will be located in both Connolly and Heuston Stations from 2nd to 8th March 2015.Thank you Iarnrod Eireann and all our supporters and sponsers in 2015!!  Thank you Starbucks and Global Taxis for getting customers to "Read All About It". This campaign is in association with NALA, Children's Books Ireland and World Book Day.  Thank you to all our book lovers for supporting this campaign.www.bringabookbuyabook.ie
