    Sam is a very pleasant and friendly 33 year old man who as a diagnosis of autism and intellectual disability.

     

    He enjoys outings to the shops. He loves animals, reading the paper and doing word games. He loves football and likes to chat about this.

     

    Sam needs help with personal care and he follows a structured timetable each day. He has very good speech but sometimes has difficulty expressing himself. Sam needs a lot of one to one attention.

     

     

     

    St. Michael's House is looking for a Host Family for Sam. A Host Family would provide family based respite in their home.  Sam needs one short break per month.

     

    As this is a significant support for Sam, applicants will undergo an assessment, Garda, HSE, reference and medical checks.

     

    Enquiries welcomed by individuals or families. All host families receive an allowance in line with fostering rate payments.
