Information Transformers

The Information Transformers Group is a small group of adult service users who have formed to explore and develop ways of making information more accessible to service users across the organisation invited Minister Kathleen Lynch TD to view their work.

Joe Carolan and John Field made a Power Presentation to the Minister, which detailed the history of the group and their work to date. The group also had an extensive display of their work, which was reviewed by the Minister.

The Minister highly commended on the group on their work and was particularly interested in how the group had written to TDs about the cut backs in services and welfare entitlements. The Minister also spoke about the importance of making information accessible to all citizens.

 During the visit Eamonn Fitzgerald Chairperson, Patricia Doherty CEO and David Dunne Regional Director St. Michael’s House South made a presentation to the Minister on the challenges facing the organisation.
