A Home for Sean
"My name is Sean and I am 3 years old. I live with a lovely short-term foster family but am now ready to move on and am looking for a long term caring family. I have special needs and cannot hear very well. I have three brothers and a grandmother who I see every six weeks. They are really important to me so I would like my new family to help me keep in touch with them".
Sean is in the care of the HSE. He is currently placed in a short-term foster family and is now ready to transfer to a family that is able to make a long-term commitment to him. Sean has special needs in that he has a global development delay and profound hearing loss. He has a very happy disposition and loves company. With support, it is planned that he will start pre-school next year and depending on his new family will eventually go to either a local main stream school or one of St. Michael’s House Special National Schools.
Sean’s new family will receive ongoing support from the team at St. Michael’s House and the HSE.
After school support for Rory
“ Hi my name is Rory and I am a ten year old boy. I have sandy coloured hair and blue eyes. I am active and have a great sense of humour. I love being around other people and playing imaginary games. I go to St. Michael’s House Special National School. I need some assistance with daily tasks but I try really hard to do them myself".
Rory is looking for a family or carer to provide him with a loving supportive home for 4 or 5 afternoons a week. Rory thrives in a nurturing encouraging environment and respond well to being praised.
Ideally Rory’s host family or carer would live on the Southside of Dublin.
