Weather forecast for the morning is favourable. We do not envisage any problems with transport to schools or day centres. Should this change a notice will be posted at 6.45 pm Thursday 15th.
Previous notices
January 6th. In response to deteriorating weather conditions and to ensure we can transport service users home safely we have decided to close day units at 1.30pm. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
January 7th. Regrettably due to adverse and deteriorating weather conditions St. Michael’s House transport is unable to pick up service users from their home on Thursday 7th Jan.
However, we will continue to monitor the situation closely with the view to reinstating normal service as soon as it is safe to do so. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Special National Schools
Grosvenor SNS is closed on Friday January 8th
Raheny SNS is open on Friday 8th of January although CIE contracted drivers have advised us that due to adverse weather conditions they are unable to provide transport.
Baldoyle SNS is open on Friday January 8th but due to adverse weather conditions we are unable to provide St. Michael’s House transport. CIE contracted drivers have advised us that transport cannot be guaranteed and will depend on local conditions.
Ballymun SNS is open on Friday January 8th but due to adverse weather conditions we are unable to provide St. Michael’s House transport. CIE contracted drivers have advised us that transport cannot be guaranteed and will depend on local conditions.
Skerries SNS is closed on Friday January 8th
Foxfield SNS is closed on January Friday 8th

January 8th Regrettably, due to ongoing adverse weather and freezing conditions forecast for tonight St. Michael’s House is unable to pick up services users on Friday 8th
Monday 11th If weather conditions remain as they are we are hopeful that we can safely resume transport on Monday. A Final decision will be posted at 7 am Monday 11th. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your ongoing understanding in this matter.
Monday 11th Weather held favourable overnight. St. Michael's House transport is able to pick service users up from their homes.

Special National Schools January 11th, 12th, 13th
The Department of Education and Science has instructed that due to severe weather conditions that all primary and secondary schools close on Monday 11th, Tuesday 12th, and Wednesday 13th.
Tuesday 12th The Minister for Education has cancelled an order for all schools to close because of the bad weather.
