After thirty years, St. Michael's House Training Centre at Charles Street closed down at the end of May, with all service users relocating to a temporary location at Le Chéile, Lagan Road, Glasnevin. A big party was held for service users, families, friends and staff to celebrate the move.

It is planned for the old building to be demolished and replaced by modern purpose-built facilities.

Charles Street currently provides services to fifty-two adults service users. While the original focus of the centre was on commercial contract work, a wider focus on training, social and leisure activities as well as supported employment has been adopted in recent years in response to the changing needs and goals of service users. This approach will be continued at the new centre.
